R&R

A pecularity in living overseas that I'm discovering revolves around the idea of holidays, or R&R and otruns something like this: You've been living in say China for a year & putting on a lot og miles travelling on business and now it's time for a vacation, so what do you do?

The answer in my case was "go back to Canada, see family & friends, cafe-hop, read, hang out, eat noodles, do a lot of nothing for a while." No beaches, no adventure travel, no bucket-list destinations. Just 'go home & regroup.'

Life for the rest of the year is busy, confusing - at times baffling and somehow I just had no urge to run off & have other adventures when my day-to-day is so busy. What about you?
